Cultural Research Foundation (CRF), within the scope of its establishment, performs social works in order to constitute heritage awareness at a social level and take steps to protect the traditional values, which are exposed to a swift extinction due to the popular culture. Due to these facts, the Foundation continues to work since 2002.
Cultural Research Foundation (CRF) its aim of establishment to carry out studies of research, inventory and archive of Turkey’s intangible cultural values. Those studies are carried out by folklore researchers. Data is analyzed by academicians. based on the gathered materials the Foundation performs activities via publishing and promoting in order to keep the existent cultural values alive and pass them onto the next generations.
The priority of CRF is to compile, record and archive field information regarding folk culture. While doing this CRF cooperates with public enterprises, academic institutions and with NGOs.
Cultural Research Foundation (CRF) was founded in Ankara, in 2002.It has been in service in Izmir since 2015. CRF became accredited to UNESCO İntengible Cultural Heritage (ICH) Programme as its official advisor.
