The traditional flavors of modern İzmir are enriched with original foods in the district centers. Ramadan helva, which is made in the city of Bergama, which has a rich cultural texture day by day from antiquity, is one of the peculiar sweeties of the province. Starch-based dough is shaped and roasted in plenty of oil and is coloured with radix alkannae. This food is only produced in the month of Ramadan and the details has been compiled and documented.
