UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage (ICH) Provincial Commission – First Term Meeting, 2025

The first term meeting of 2025 of the “Izmir Provincial Identification Committee for Intangible Cultural Heritage,” in which our Foundation serves as a permanent member and which operates under the Izmir Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism, was held on 27 June 2025.

During the meeting, the nomination files for the “Ceremonial Keşkek Tradition” and “Bergama Ramadan Dessert Zülbiye” were reviewed and submitted to the Ministry headquarters for inclusion in the Türkiye National Inventory of Intangible Cultural Heritage. As a Living Human Treasure (LHT) nomination, the file of İrfan Alkur in the field of “Kabak Kemane Making and Performance” was also examined and submitted to the Ministry.
