Hacı Bektaş Veli Memorial Ceremonies / Central Anatolia – Hacıbektaş

Haci Bektaş Veli, who has an important place in Alevism culture, will be remembered with various activities in August in the province of Hacı Bektaş in Nevşehir province. Alevism and Bektashi from almost every part of Turkey perform rituals such as visiting the dervish of Hacı Bektaş Veli, performing votive sacrifices, participating in ritual ceremonies, returning semah, and attaching rags to wishes. The observations and documentation of the different stages of these ceremonies have been made.
