Children of the Forest / Küre Mountains National Park / Black Sea / Natural Life

Küre Mountains, which has a unique ecosystem, was declared a National Park in 2000. The research – documentation was made in the villages of Sumen, Yamanlar, Kerte and Muratbaşı villages of Pınarbaşı district near the park between 2003-2007. The flora, fauna and people in the National Park have been named as “children of the forest”.

In addition to CRF researchers, Forestry Engineer Sercay Güzel and Gazi University Science and Literature Faculty Research Officer Dr. Ufuk Özbek supported biodiversity and natural habitats.
