Sinop is a port city on the Black Sea coast. This feature has made it one of the trade centers on the one hand and a fishing center on the other. Sinop has a wide variety of products and meals ranging from cereals, and vegetable to seafood. The main food products are nokul, corn soup, a dish of mutton, dessert, seasoned rice with chestnut, mushroomı, tirit, wetting, cornbread, leek corn bread, anchovy corn bread, mamalika, fish pilaki, chestnut meal and mushroom. Compilation and documentation studies on the provincial kitchen were made.
