Toy Research / Western Anatolia – Muğla
Play and toy culture was investigated in Çomakdağ Kızılağaç village of Milas, which is famous for its historic houses and carpets in Muğla. Among the toys that bear traces of yoruk culture are wooden cars, rag dolls, animal figures made from mud. In the researches of Emacik and Kızlan villages in Muğla Datça, dolls made from pine trees and nappies, toys made from plants and some materials related to childhood were collected. The toys made from the plants were rebuilt and information about the production stages was obtained.
