Toy Research / Black Sea – Artvin

In the traditional toy research carried out in the districts of Şavşat, Borçka and Murgul, the toys of the wooden agricultural equipments used for the boys in the region and used in everyday life were encountered. The toys have educational functions to the children by making models of hand tools such as kagni, crayons, harrows, yaba, made according to soil structure and land conditions. Besides, the dolls that the local women made for their daughters are reflecting the clothing culture of the region. In addition, toys made from plants and various branches of trees are also among the data obtained in the research.
